Questioning the yields of pleasure while illustrating the conflicted consciousness that follows negative cycles. A person on the left is seen being comforted by a ghostly figure, while a foreboding green faced figure confronts the viewer, imposing a pressure unto the entire composition. In the top right a hand breaks through glass to reach out and help the person. The ritual of self-sabotaging habits and comforting the suffering caused by such actions is attempting to be broken by a realization that change is the only way.
