MUSIC VIDEO – Unreal Engine

We Don’t Count

Inspired by the famed drama “The Crucible” this solo project takes a Surrealist approach to Metahuman Animation in Unreal Engine in the form of a music video

The focus of the project was to familiarize myself with environment creation digital lighting and cinematography to produce a unique experience that embraces the uncanny valley. This uneasiness lends itself to the back and fourth nature of the song, and feeling of taboo explored through body language, composition, and lighting.

Digital Still Life – Unreal engine

The Dream Catcher

In observation of how artistic practice and many other passions are compartmentalize due to the speed of the and intensity of thought that is required to live life in the modern age. There is little time to sit still, time is measured on the scale of productivity. This scene works as a safe haven away from the noise of urban life to embrace a unpressurized natural creativity.

This still life served as a playground to test software and lay foundations to my approach to future work.

I used Houdini to procedurally craft vase tools to quickly create a large amount of vases with varied forms. I wanted them to look like unfinished attempts.

I used blender to sculpt my main sculpture on the wheel, and experimented with photogrammetry on the pillow asset.

PAINTING- Projection Mapping

TECHPINCH/ SWALLOW

Looking for a way to combine my digital and physical approaches to creating I began a series of paintings on shower curtains wanting to experiment with projection mapping and ways to bring a painting alive.

I used the synthesis of tangible and intangible materials to develop a dialogue about which medium was possessing the soul of the work at a given time.

Regalia

Procedurally crafted in Houdini. This work draws inspiration from the traditional jewelry of the Amazigh people of North Africa and the squash blossom pendant from the Navajo tribes in North America.
